Job Description
Vonage is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to contribute to the innovation of cloud communications for businesses globally. The role involves assisting customers with their communication API implementation projects through code reviews, best practices workshops, sample apps, and demos. The engineer will serve as a trusted advisor in customer meetings, providing technical guidance and validating the implementation of Vonage's products.Role involves:
  • Building and maintaining demos, quick start samples, and example apps.
  • Participating in customer code reviews to diagnose implementation issues.
  • Building and documenting reference applications based on in-demand use cases.
  • Writing blog posts and tutorials based on demos or reference applications.
  • Collaborating with Sales Account Managers, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers.
Requirements:
  • Empathy.
  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with globally distributed team members.
  • 3+ years of professional full stack development experience.
  • Experience in writing technical documentation or tutorials.
  • Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
  • Solution-driven approach.
  • Ability to communicate best practices and solutions effectively.
  • Solid understanding of Javascript, CSS, and related libraries.
  • Experience building applications in Node.js.
  • Proficiency in one or more OO languages: Python, PHP, or Ruby.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Relational databases / SQL knowledge.
