Scale is seeking a Manager for their LLM post-training Research team. This role involves leading a team of research scientists and engineers focused on optimizing data curation and algorithmic improvements to enhance LLM capabilities. The Manager will develop novel post-training techniques to improve the alignment and generalization of large-scale generative models. This position is critical for defining best practices in data-driven AI development and accelerating the next generation of generative AI models in partnership with top foundational model labs.
Role involves:
Leading a team of research scientists and research engineers.
Developing novel post-training techniques.
Communicating and collaborating with clients and peer teams.
Staying up-to-date on ongoing research and trends.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in large language model, NLP, and Transformer modeling.
Experience leading a team of research scientists and engineers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Published research in machine learning at major conferences and/or journals.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Must be able to commute to the San Francisco Office 4 times weekly.
