Job Description
Scale is seeking a Field Test Engineer to join their team in Washington, DC. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of Scale’s technology as it’s deployed in high-impact, mission-critical environments. The Field Test Engineer will be at the forefront of field engineering efforts for federal AI projects, working closely with large public sector customers to ensure their satisfaction and drive revenue. They will collaborate with developers, product managers, and federal customers to ensure the software is stable, scalable, and secure.
The role involves:
- Developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Performing functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
- Developing and maintaining test environments and infrastructure
- Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects using bug tracking systems
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Designing and implementing automated test suites
- Analyzing test results and providing detailed reports on software quality
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and security regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software Test Engineering or related role
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, pytest, Playwright)
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Linear, Jira, Bugzilla)
- Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Active TS/SCI clearance
