Product Engineer - AI procurement Startup Berlin

Job Description

Forgent AI, supported by Cherry Ventures, is seeking a Product Engineer to join their founding technical team in Berlin. This role involves translating user needs in public procurement into AI applications. The Product Engineer will work closely with founders and early users, driving product features from concept to deployment and helping define the engineering culture.

• Designing, building, and iterating on full-stack features.
• Integrating LLMs to solve core user problems.
• Collaborating with founders and customers to understand user challenges.
• Taking ownership of features from design through deployment.
• Collaborating with colleagues through code reviews and design discussions.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements in product, tech stack, or team processes.

• 3+ years of professional experience writing maintainable code and familiarity with common API patterns (e.g., REST).
• Proven practical experience building applications leveraging LLMs.
• Experience translating complex ideas into working prototypes and shipping robust applications.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English).
• Hard worker with a strong sense of urgency.
