Moniepoint, a fast-growing financial services platform in Africa, is seeking a Business Relationship Manager for a remote position in Anambra, Nigeria. This role involves merchant acquisition, developing sales strategies, and identifying business growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in business development and solicit new business.
- Acquire customers through the sale of bank products and services.
- Cross-sell bank products and services.
- Seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Create marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct daily meetings with the sales team and review performance.
- Maintain current business relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Participate in market storms, community fairs, and trade fairs.
- Implement best practices to meet customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
- Gather feedback from customers and share with internal teams.
- Understand customer financial needs and objectives.
- Recommend appropriate financial products or services.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
- Experience in marketing/sales within the banking sector, focusing on onboarding and managing merchants.
- Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates (advantageous).
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to execute goals independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Tertiary education from a recognized institution.
