Moniepoint, a financial technology company digitizing Africa’s real economy, is seeking a Business Relationship Manager. This role is focused on POS Merchant Acquisition and developing sales strategies to identify business growth opportunities.Responsibilities:
  • Engage in business development and solicit new business.
  • Acquire customers through the sale of bank products and services.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Create marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct daily meetings with the sales team and review performance.
  • Maintain current business relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities.
  • Participate in market storms and community fairs.
  • Implement best practices to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
  • Gather feedback from customers and share with internal teams.
  • Understand customer financial needs and recommend appropriate products.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Experience in marketing/sales within the banking sector, focusing on merchant onboarding and management.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to execute goals independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Tertiary education from a recognized institution.
