Job Description

Moniepoint, a fast-growing financial services platform in Africa, is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to focus on the Niger market. This role involves merchant acquisition, developing sales strategies, and identifying business growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will engage in business development, customer acquisition, and cross-selling of bank products and services.

What this role involves:
• Engaging in business development activities and solicitation of new business.
• Customer acquisition through the sale of the bank’s products and services.
• Cross-selling of bank products and services.
• Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
• Creating marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
• Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products and services.
• Collaborating with team members to achieve better results.
• Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing with internal teams.
• Recommending appropriate financial products or services to customers.

Requirements:
• Minimum 4-5 years in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
• Experience in marketing/sales within the banking sector with emphasis on onboarding and managing Merchants.
• Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates (Good network of enterprise merchants is an advantage).
• Strong business acumen and analytical thought process.
• Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Tertiary education from a recognised institution.
