Moniepoint, a fast-growing financial services platform in Africa, is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to join their team. This role is based in Ondo, Nigeria, and involves remote work. The Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for merchant acquisition, developing sales strategies, and identifying business growth opportunities.

Role Involves:
  • Engaging in business development and soliciting new business.
  • Customer acquisition through the sale of bank products and services.
  • Cross-selling bank products and services.
  • Actively seeking new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Creating marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Conducting daily meetings with the sales team and carrying out reviews.
  • Managing and maintaining current business relationships.
  • Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Participating in market storms, community fairs, and cluster marketing events.
  • Implementing best practices to meet customers’ needs and requirements.
  • Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products and services.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve better results.
  • Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing with internal teams.
  • Understanding customer financial needs and objectives.
  • Recommending appropriate financial products or services to customers.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Experience in marketing/sales within the banking sector with emphasis on onboarding and managing Merchants.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates (Good network of enterprise merchants).
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thought process.
  • Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Tertiary education from a recognized institution.
  • Must be resident in Ondo State.
