Job Description

Betsson Group is seeking a highly analytical and motivated individual with a strong passion for Basketball to join their Sportsbook team in Malta as a Basketball Trader. The ideal candidate will be responsible for odds compiling, risk management, and trading live Basketball matches within Betsson's dynamic Sportsbook team.Role involves:

• Managing pre-match and in-play odds and risk for basketball matches
• Creation, mapping and settlement of events where required
• Monitoring of betting patterns and collaboration with risk teams in customer profiling
• Working closely with our 3rd party providers
• Efficient error reporting
• Being creative and coming up with new ideas on how to improve our product

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Basketball with strong interest in the NBA, Euroleague and other major European competitions. Knowledge of American Football, Baseball and Ice Hockey considered an advantage.
• Comprehension of sports odds and the underlying mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to think quickly and work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sports betting
• The role requires work during unsociable hours and flexibility to work at any time including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, with an emphasis on weekend evenings
