Engineering Manager

Job Description

Betsson Group is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop high-performing infrastructure engineering teams. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions on Cloud and On-Premise. They will cultivate an environment of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, working closely with Product Managers to plan and execute the infrastructure roadmap.

The role involves:

• Building, leading, and developing high-performing infrastructure engineering teams.
• Ensuring teams are properly structured, staffed, and equipped with the necessary skills.
• Fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability within the teams.
• Driving the adoption and continuous improvement of agile methodologies.
• Collaborating with Product Managers to align technical solutions with business needs and ensure successful delivery.
• Monitoring and optimizing team performance, processes, and productivity.
• Championing technical infrastructure initiatives and advocate for their inclusion in the roadmap.
• Ensuring system health, performance, and stability through effective monitoring and maintenance processes.
• Overseeing and ensuring adherence to SLAs, maintaining high levels of service reliability.
• Identifying and resolving obstacles impacting team efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
• AWS Cloud practitioner or equivalent would be beneficial.
• Proven experience in leading and managing infrastructure engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical background in infrastructure, including areas such as cloud platforms, networking, observability, CI/CD, and security.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experience in adopting and refining them in infrastructure teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Experience in monitoring system performance, stability, and meeting SLA requirements.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
