Job Description
Betsson Group is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join their global technology ecosystem. The candidate will be part of the Product Development organization, which operates across multiple tech hubs. The Database team is responsible for building and managing database hosting capabilities using Infrastructure as Code. This role involves working with cutting-edge technology, enabling the company's cloud journey, and continuously improving database platforms based on business needs.

Role Involves:
  • Building and managing Database hosting capabilities.
  • Providing guidance and tooling to handle distributed systems.
  • Continuously improve, tune and optimise Database platforms capabilities.
  • Analysing, diagnosing and solving issues of efficiency performance and scale.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in setting up and administering AWS database services.
  • Expertise in managing PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Configuration management expertise using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers, with a preference for AWS.
  • Experience in building scalable and distributed database infrastructure.
  • Skill in version control.
  • Familiarity with open-source monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Powershell.
  • Experience in using and managing Linux distributions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, including ITIL and DevOps principles.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies.
