Platform DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Betsson Group is seeking a Platform DevOps Engineer to join their Product Development organization. The ideal candidate will be involved in working with cutting-edge technology, enabling the company's cloud journey, building infrastructure platforms as self-service for developers, and continuously improving platforms based on business needs. The Platform Core team is responsible for managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of Core Platform Layer, providing a distributed runtime platform that ensures optimal performance of business applications, APIs and websites. The role involves strengthening the management of Kafka Messaging Platform.

• Managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of Core Platform Layer
• Providing a distributed runtime platform
• Building Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to developers
• Continuously improve and develop our platforms based on business needs
• Analysing, diagnosing and solving issues of efficiency performance and scale

• Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE.
• Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup, administration, and configuration of such service.
• Managing Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference.
• Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure.
• Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes.
• Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana.
• Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar.
• Experience in using and managing Linux distributions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL and DevOps principles.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required to be on an On-call support schedule.
