Senior BI Developer

Job Description

Betsson Group is seeking a Senior BI Developer to join their Data Engineering team in Malta. The successful candidate will work within a squad of BI Developers, focusing on the full data product offered to various data consumers. This role involves working on new and existing BI dashboards and reports, extracting ad-hoc data sets, and providing support for the data product. As a senior member, they will contribute to technical and strategic decisions to evolve the team, products, and technology stack.Role involves:

• Designing solutions based on business requirements.
• Working with Data Engineers to acquire data and create data models.
• Developing dashboards and static reports.
• Data modelling and scheduling automated data set workflows.
• Providing support for products and solutions, including problem investigation and resolution.
• Ensuring BI systems availability and optimal performance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and development teams.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective prioritization and handling of multiple tasks.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in data-related roles, including 3 years as a BI Developer.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with reporting tools like QlikView, QlikSense, and SSRS.
• Experience with Data Modelling and understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts and tools like Snowflake and Airflow.
• A degree in a relevant technical area.
