SysOps Engineer

Job Description

Betsson is seeking a SysOps Engineer to join their team in Malta. The ideal candidate will have a DevOps mindset and experience with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role involves transitioning from infrastructure specialist to SysOps engineer.

The role involves:

• Deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Systems Manager, Backup Manager).
• Maintaining Active Directory for secure authentication across on-premises and cloud services.
• Maintaining VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
• Managing AD, including PKI, DNS, GPO, and other connected tools within the suite.
• Administering physical servers (blade and standalone configurations).
• Managing environments with both Microsoft and Linux-based OS.
• Handling Enterprise HPE storage solutions (HPE 3PAR, MSA, Primera, Alletra).
• Supporting/managing fabric networking, including Fiber Channel switches.
• Developing and managing Terraform-based infrastructure.
• Automating configuration management using Ansible, Foreman, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
• Creating and managing dashboards and alerts to minimize downtime.
• Monitoring system performance, security, and infrastructure health in real-time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
• AWS Cloud practitioner or equivalent would be beneficial.
• 3+ years’ experience with most of the following technologies: AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Github.
