Principal Software Engineer

FLYR is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive innovation and shape the organization's strategic direction. The ideal candidate will be a recognized technical authority and visionary leader, capable of defining problems and architecting solutions in ambiguous situations. This role involves elevating the performance and technical expertise of those around them, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.Responsibilities include:

• Defining and championing the technical vision and strategy for the product suite.
• Driving architectural standards and decisions across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Leading the technical design and implementation of significant cross-team initiatives.
• Serving as a role model and mentor for engineers across the organization.
• Influencing both business and technology strategies.
• Identifying and driving improvements to engineering processes and development workflows.
• Monitoring industry trends and assessing emerging technologies.
• Instilling a culture of security across the product suite.
• Ensuring non-functional and observability requirements are included in product suite technical designs and decisions.

Requirements include:

• 12+ years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
• Extensive experience in software development.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles and architectural patterns.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
