Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Job Description

FLYR is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their Design System team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the Design System product, building its engineering architecture, and ensuring product teams have the necessary artifacts to build and ship excellent products. The Senior Frontend Engineer will collaborate closely with designers and product teams to deliver seamless and performant UI components, while driving best practices in API design and components architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain reusable, high-performance UI components.
• Define and enforce standards for components.
• Collaborate with designers to translate designs into functional components.
• Contribute to tooling and infrastructure, supporting versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and automated tests.
• Advocate for the design system's adoption and evolution.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in frontend applications development.
• Extensive knowledge of React and its ecosystem, TypeScript, HTML semantics, and CSS.
• In-depth understanding of design patterns and programming best practices.
• Experience with component testing (e.g., Jest, RTL, Cypress, Playwright, Chromatic).
• Experience with CSS-in-JS (e.g., styled components) and other CSS processors (like SASS).
• Strong focus on modularization and reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Keen eye for UI/UX and outstanding attention to detail.
• Experience working closely with product/UX designers.
• Fluency in English.
