Job Description
Luminar Technologies is seeking a Sr. Resident Engineer, Software to join their team in Gothenburg, Sweden. This role involves leveraging software development, networking, and computer science tools to enhance the deployment and functionality of Luminar's lidar sensor and software products. The Sr. Resident Engineer will act as the primary technical contact between the customer and Luminar, ensuring effective communication and support throughout the integration process.Role involves:
  • Acting as the primary technical contact between the customer and Luminar.
  • Assisting in setting up SIL and HIL environments.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and execute test plans.
  • Supporting V&V processes.
  • Guiding the integration of FW/SW into customer vehicle platforms.
  • Offering technical assistance during customer interactions.
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting.
  • Engaging in resolving issues, reporting bugs, and monitoring issue resolution.
  • Preparing and configuring sensors locally for customer use.
  • Collaborating with US-based design and development teams.
  • Supporting software development activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive integration of hardware and software components.
  • Expertise in C++ with 5+ years of industry experience with safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with AUTOSAR C++ and/or MISRA C++ coding guidelines.
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and code optimization techniques.
  • Proven capability in delivering production software in Linux and QNX systems.
  • Strong experience in developing testable code and crafting automated tests.
  • A track record of effective collaboration with global teams and consistently providing customer feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on and independently.
