Sr. Software Engineer at ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter is looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to join their R&D center in Tel Aviv. The company is a leading online employment marketplace that uses AI-driven smart matching technology to connect job seekers with businesses. The R&D center offers an empowering, fun, and collaborative culture.

As a Sr. Backend Engineer, he/she will help design and build a flexible and scalable system. The engineer will be expected to show ownership and responsibility for the code, think big, and help out in other areas.

What this role involves:

• Designing and writing code that is critical for business growth
• Mastering scalability and enterprise-grade production services implementation
• Leading design for new products and initiatives as well as integrating with currently implemented best-practices
• Reviewing peer's design and code
• Working closely with product managers, peer engineers, and business stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Java
• Hands on experience in managing major clouds vendors’ infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience working with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
• Fluent with SQL
• Enjoy communicating and collaborating, sharing your ideas and being open to honest feedback
• The ability to lead new features from design to implementation, taking into consideration topics such as performance, scalability, and impact on the greater system
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
