Director of Engineering(AI)

Job Description

Innovaccer is seeking a Director of Engineering-AI to define the strategic vision and technical roadmap for its AI-powered products. The Director will lead cross-functional teams across AI research, machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing to design, build, and deploy scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. A key focus will be on developing intelligent AI agents using core AI coding skills to drive real-world impact in healthcare.

Role Involves:

• Collaborating with business and product teams to identify AI-driven opportunities and requirements.
• Developing and executing an AI strategy that integrates advanced techniques.
• Architecting, building, and deploying robust AI/ML solutions.
• Spearheading MLOps pipelines for automated model training, validation, and monitoring.
• Collaborating with AI research, data science, product management, and platform engineering teams.
• Mentoring and developing a high-performing team of AI engineers.

Requirements:

• 12+ years in software engineering with a minimum of 5 years in AI/ML leadership roles.
• Proven success in end-to-end AI product lifecycle management.
• Deep expertise in advanced AI techniques.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AI frameworks and cloud-native deployments.
• Strong core AI coding skills in Python (and JavaScript).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver innovative, production-ready AI solutions in a regulated healthcare environment.
• Experience with cutting-edge generative AI models and multimodal systems.
• Expertise in optimizing AI agents for edge deployment and IoT devices.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or notable research publications.
