Job Description
Innovaccer is seeking a Staff Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong ability to align AI solutions with business objectives. As a senior-level position, the Staff Engineer is responsible for driving innovation and ensuring the scalability and reliability of AI systems.
Role Involves:
- Designing, building, and optimizing machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models.
- Developing end-to-end AI system architectures that integrate with existing business platforms.
- Building and managing data ingestion, transformation pipelines, and infrastructure to support scalable AI solutions.
- Conducting statistical analyses, running experiments, and interpreting results to guide decision-making.
- Deploying AI models into production environments, monitoring performance, and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Working closely with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to align AI initiatives with organizational goals.
- Identifying potential biases in AI models and ensuring ethical considerations are addressed during development.
- Mentoring junior engineers, setting technical standards, and leading the team in adopting cutting-edge technologies.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or data science roles with a focus on AI/ML.
- Proven track record of designing scalable AI systems in production environments.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision (CV), or other specialized AI domains.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Scala.
- Expertise in ML/DL frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Strong foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, calculus, probability) and statistics.
- Knowledge of generative AI techniques (e.g., LLMs) and prompt engineering.
- Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with APIs for integrating AI models into applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
