Staff Software Engineer

ZipRecruiter is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their R&D center in Tel Aviv. The ideal candidate will help design and build a flexible and scalable system to facilitate business growth and innovation. This role requires ownership, responsibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with opportunities to contribute to various areas of the company.

The Staff Software Engineer role involves:

• Designing and writing code critical for business growth.
• Mastering scalability and enterprise-grade production services implementation.
• Leading design for new products and initiatives, integrating with best practices.
• Reviewing peer's design and code.
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

The role requires:

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (Python, Java, Golang, Scala).
• Hands-on experience managing major cloud vendors’ infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with tools like Kafka, DynamoDb, SQS, ElasticSearch.
• Experience working with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead new features from design to implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher - an advantage.
