Digital Journalist

Job Description

NewGlobe is seeking a Digital Journalist to drive perception and generate buzz around its government education program. The Digital Journalist will be responsible for creating digital narratives that spark conversation and capture hearts and minds. He will be embedded in a government education program, part content creator, part campaigner, part strategist.Role involves:

• Building and executing a digital content strategy.
• Capturing human-centered stories through video, photography, and interviews.
• Developing and executing content campaigns across various platforms.
• Tracking digital reach, engagement, and virality.
• Cultivating local influencers and digital ambassadors.
• Collaborating with program leadership to align on communications priorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, and digital storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
• Proficiency in content creation and video editing tools.
• Experience with WhatsApp as a communication tool.
• Experience in community engagement and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English.
