Senior DevOps Engineer, Software Engineering

Job Description

NewGlobe is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to champion automation and repeatability across its tech teams. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader and collaborator, passionate about enabling teams and driving innovation. This role involves working closely with software and IT operations teams to evolve continuous delivery platforms and improve production monitoring capabilities.About NewGlobe:NewGlobe partners with governments to enhance basic education through integrated school management, teacher development, and technological support.Role Responsibilities:

• Evangelize a culture of automation and repeatability.
• Own, maintain, and evolve continuous delivery platforms.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of continuous delivery infrastructure.
• Resolve automated testing issues.
• Review and improve server provisioning processes.
• Collaborate on next-generation deployment architecture.
• Design, build, and improve production monitoring and alerting capabilities.
• Firefight production issues.

Requirements:

• Experience in Site Reliability, building, Release, and maintain complex and scalable systems
• Solid experience in C# and .NET environments is highly preferred
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Hands-on experience in Code as Infrastructure tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience with AWS or other public cloud services.
• Solid foundation in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in containerisation (Docker) and containerisation infrastructure (Kubernetes, DockerSwarm, etc.)
• Expertise in Windows and Linux, fluency with Bash or PowerShell.
• Monitoring/observability technologies like Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch
• 3+ years of commercial DevOps experience at the enterprise level.
• 5+ years overall commercial software experience at the enterprise level
• Hands-on experience across continuous delivery platforms (e.g. Jenkins, Go.CD, CircleCI, TFS, Octopus).
