Senior Software Engineer - Pricing/Monetization Team

Job Description

PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Pricing/Monetization team in Lisbon. This role involves developing innovative pricing and monetization solutions, contributing to PagerDuty's next growth phase. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of delivering impactful software and communicating effectively across disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, coding, testing, and shipping microservices and user interfaces.
• Working across both backend and frontend systems.
• Collaborating with engineers across teams.
• Building new features to improve pricing, checkout, licensing, and billing systems.
• Participating in the team’s on-call rotation.
• Working cross-functionally with product, design, finance, and other teams.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of development experience overall.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working on customer-facing, web-based systems.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, Phoenix/Elixir, and React or willingness to learn.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with scalability, availability, and performance requirements (preferred).
• Experience working in an agile environment (preferred).
• Experience with tools that ensure smooth transitions from development to production (preferred).
• Experience working in a global distributed environment (preferred).
