Backend Engineer

Job Description

Backbase is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join their team in Krakow. The Backend Engineer will be responsible for solution development and providing expert support for all backend-related matters. They will work within a cross-functional team to seamlessly integrate Backbase products, tailoring solutions to meet specific customer needs.

The Backend Engineer will play a crucial role in integrating the Backbase platform into customer systems and building customized solutions. They will be the go-to expert for backend-related tasks, writing clean code, conducting tests, and mentoring client-side developers. The role involves providing both solicited and unsolicited advice, mentoring, conducting audits, and delivering on-the-job training. The Backend Engineer may also present technology rationales to stakeholders and collaborate closely with the R&D department to contribute to new product development.

Responsibilities:

• Integrating the Backbase platform into customer systems.
• Building customized solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Writing clean, testable code.
• Mentoring client-side developers.
• Providing expert advice and support for backend-related issues.
• Collaborating with the R&D department on new product development.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
• Experience with integration patterns and frameworks (e.g., Apache Camel, Spring Integration).
• Familiarity with Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes (k8s).
• Understanding of enterprise software architectures and web technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
