Engineering Manager

Job Description

A company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and growing the team, defining and promoting team practices, and developing hiring and training strategies. They will manage the release management cycle, ensuring the quick delivery of application features while maintaining the integrity of the production environment.

Role Involves:

• Leading a team of software engineers
• Defining and promoting team practices
• Developing hiring and training strategies
• Managing the release management cycle
• Identifying and resolving risks
• Coordinating with the support team
• Identifying and implementing Release Management Improvements
• Ensuring the definition and alignment of the release management Roadmap with product teams
• Stakeholder management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 6+ years of engineering experience
• Experience identifying and resolving risks
• Experience in Development and Test
• Experience planning next iterations
• Experience as people manager of a software development cross-discipline team of at least 10 members
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong Spanish and English communication skills
• Good understanding of J2EE, Spring framework, Microservices, Cloud Native app development, DevOps, Security Testing
