Staff Python Engineer

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact Primer's tooling, coding standards, and codebase. The engineer will lead the development of new data-driven product features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle the technical challenges inherent in natural language processing and machine learning technology.Primer fosters a growth-oriented environment, encouraging contributions to architectural principles and the adoption of high-impact OSS.Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architect and extend scalable ingest pipelines and data stores.
• Design, package, and optimize the Delta product for diverse deployment environments.
• Collaborate on the Delta product to design an information retrieval architecture.
• Work with machine learning engineers and data scientists to extend platform capabilities.
• Work on massive datasets, integrating with features like event and topic detection.

Relevant Skills and Experience:

• Experience leading commercial software technical projects in an agile environment.
• Experience with data ingestion, processing, and data retrieval systems at scale.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).
• Experience with real-time and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of shipping production grade software.
• Expertise in Python and Golang.
• Expertise in Flask, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, Redis.
