Staff Product Designer, Consumer

Ethos is seeking a Staff Product Designer to contribute to the next generation of its products. The role involves shaping every aspect of the product, developing solutions to challenges, and building products that create value for users. The designer will experiment, learn, and advocate for customers.

Role involves:

• Leading design strategy across multiple business units
• Setting the vision for the overall user experience
• Building new products and iterating on existing ones
• Balancing smaller projects with big bets that level up the overall product
• Managing executive stakeholders across engineering, product, marketing, and more
• Driving improvements to the product development process with cross-functional partners

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of Product Design experience
• 2+ years at a venture-funded startup in the last 4 years
• Experience working in-house on direct-to-consumer products
• Experience in a high-velocity, experiment-driven environment
• Understanding of when to use and shortcut the design process
• Ability to articulate the reasoning behind design decisions
• Demonstrated ability to measure the impact of work on the business
• A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to move quickly while producing high-quality work
• Experience leading projects end-to-end
