IT & Cyber Risk Management Specialist

Job Description

Nu is seeking an IT & Cyber Risk Management Specialist to join their team in Bogota, Colombia. This role is within the second line of defense, focusing on managing IT risk for a regulated fintech. The specialist will implement the IT Risk strategy for Nu Colombia, conduct risk assessments on IT and cybersecurity elements, automate IT risk control tests, and monitor incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role involves working with advanced technologies and collaborating with Infosec and Engineering teams, aligning with business needs. The specialist will lead strategic initiatives for current and emerging IT risks, aligning risk management initiatives with business growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing the IT Risk strategy for Nu Colombia.
• Conducting regular risk assessments on IT systems and infrastructure.
• Assessing risks in new products and features from an IT and cybersecurity perspective.
• Monitoring IT and cybersecurity incidents.
• Automating IT risk control tests.
• Leading strategic initiatives for managing IT risks.
• Developing executive reports and delivering presentations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations or non-financial risk management.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• In-depth knowledge of IT and cybersecurity risk management frameworks (e.g., MITRE, NIST).
• Understanding of cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud security concepts.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, DevOps practices, and tools (e.g., CI/CD, containerization).
