Data Engineer

Job Description

Copper, a firm specializing in digital asset infrastructure, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Business Intelligence team. The Data Engineer will contribute to the data warehouse and BI visualization capabilities, refining the data strategy. Copper's engineering team has been at the forefront of blockchain technology since 2018, setting standards for cryptocurrency infrastructure globally.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building risk, finance, and general Business Intelligence reporting models, reports, and dashboards.
• Providing support for ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Engaging with key stakeholders to explain capabilities, understand requirements, and manage key relationships.
• Collaborating with the reporting lead to promote tools adoption and a strong data culture.

Requirements:

• Experience with BI reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI).
• SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
• Data warehousing experience (Kimball Dimensional, Data Vault).
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Engineering best practices and standards.
