Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Copper is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team in London. Copper is building the standard for institutional digital asset infrastructure with a focus on custody, collateral management, and prime services. The ideal candidate will have experience building fault-tolerant, geographically distributed infrastructures and working collaboratively with backend engineers.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and resilience of Copper's systems, contributing to the advancement of the crypto ecosystem.

Role Involves:

• Building a fault-tolerant, geographically distributed infrastructure.
• Participating in the deployment of services with strict availability requirements.
• Developing and maintaining code for automated infrastructure management (DevOps, Infrastructure as Code) with Ansible and Terraform.
• Working collaboratively with the Backend Engineering team to increase resilience.
• Improving the CI/CD pipeline to provide new integration vectors.
• Building and maintaining infrastructure for its own fleet of blockchain nodes.
• Providing on-call support to ensure 24/7 availability of all systems.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience working as a DevOps engineer with production infrastructure.
• Well-versed with modern web application principles and CI/CD processes.
• Strong understanding of network architecture.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions & GoCD.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure & GCP.
• Experienced in coding non-trivial scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
