Associate Director, Electrical Engineer

Job Description

AirTrunk is seeking an Associate Director, Electrical Engineer to join their team in North Sydney. This role involves working closely with the development and technology team to enhance AirTrunk's engineering solutions and meet customer requirements across APAC. The Associate Director will manage engineering documentation, ensure governance throughout the electrical design process, and collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve technical issues and mitigate risks.Role involves:

• Maintaining the electrical design database.
• Developing new processes to improve electrical design delivery.
• Investigating and integrating new technologies into designs.
• Collaborating with the High Voltage team.
• Presenting engineering solutions to customers.
• Working with Masterplanning and Design teams on concept designs.
• Working with the Cost team to develop cost-efficient designs.
• Assisting in liaising with power utilities.
• Engaging consultants for strategic engineering studies.
• Delivering internal technical learning and strategic projects.
• Conducting site, design, and opportunity reviews at data centers.

Requirements:

• 10+ years' electrical or building services design and construction experience (data center experience preferred).
• Bachelor’s and or Masters of Engineering (Electrical) from an Australian or equivalent University.
• Experience with designing and or deciphering electrical protection and grading studies.
• Strong understanding of all engineering disciplines and their interdependencies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to make decisions and be accountable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
