Performance Engineer - Digital Assets

Job Description

Flow Traders is seeking a Performance Engineer to join their Digital Assets Tech Ops team in Amsterdam. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the speed, reliability, and efficiency of the company's digital assets trading systems. This role involves working closely with traders, developers, operations, and infrastructure engineers to identify performance improvements and drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across low-latency trading infrastructure.
• Enhance the efficiency of connectivity and interactions with digital asset exchanges.
• Use black-box analysis, statistical testing, and empirical research to improve system behaviors.
• Analyse large-scale system and network data to detect patterns and optimise performance.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of cloud-based trading systems.
• Build internal tools and frameworks for benchmarking, monitoring, and real-time performance optimization.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in Performance Engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system internals.
• Experience in reverse engineering, system performance tuning, and low-latency networking.
• Proficiency in Python and/or other programming languages such as C++ or Java.
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring, data analysis, and statistical modelling.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems, including AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a results-driven mindset.
