Senior Software Engineer, Java

Job Description

Bitpanda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Java to join their Identity Platform team within the TradeHub solution. This role is crucial for safeguarding user information and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR. The ideal candidate will contribute to building stable and scalable solutions for secure and seamless access experiences for over 4 million users.What this role involves:

• Designing and developing scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java.
• Writing clean code with high test coverage and extensive testing.
• Contributing to conversational development and disseminating information.
• Optimising systems for reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Guiding and mentoring other team members.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and experience in software development with Java 11+.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs.
• Practical knowledge in using message-oriented middleware (Kafka).
• Knowledge of PHP or Go is an advantage.
