Job Description
OKX is seeking a Control Assurance Specialist to join their Technology Governance team. This role is based in Hong Kong and focuses on evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of IT and security controls within the organization. The Control Assurance Specialist will work with internal and external auditors, as well as stakeholders across departments, to ensure compliance, identify weaknesses in control systems, and implement corrective actions. They will also contribute to periodic self-assessments of controls to verify their efficiency and alignment with business objectives.

Role involves:
  • Developing and maintaining an assurance roadmap.
  • Conducting assurance reviews of IT/security controls.
  • Monitoring the company's security compliance status.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing remediation plans.
  • Analyzing security and compliance gaps.
  • Maintaining solutions for continuous compliance with industry standards.
  • Supporting tech governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Tracking remediation progress and reporting to management.
  • Developing and refining IT governance-related policies and procedures.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT audit, risk management, compliance, and security governance.
  • In-depth understanding of IT security frameworks and audit standards (ISO 27001, COBIT, SOC 2, SOC 1, NIST, SOX).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or CISM are desirable.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud security, IT infrastructure, and IT operational processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI and blockchain) is a plus.
  • Experience with IPO readiness is a plus.
