Lead Accountant, France

Job Description

Dashlane is seeking a Lead Accountant to manage French operations. The Lead Accountant will report to the Global Controller and will be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing accounting team. The Lead Accountant will own all day-to-day accounting operations for the French entity, including General Ledger, Month end Closing, Payroll, Revenue Recognition, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, VAT, Accounts Payable, Bank Account Reconciliations, Prepaid, Fixed Assets, Software Capitalization, and Lease Accounting. They will also be responsible for CIR preparation, while ensuring compliance with USA GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements, internal financial policies and procedures. The Lead Accountant will collaborate with external firms for payroll, statutory accounts, and audits. They will support the Global Controller on special projects and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to advance organizational goals, maintaining internal controls and data integrity.

• Own the month end close process for the French entity
• Maintain local accounting books
• Review and monitor monthly French payroll process
• Manage revenue recognition process
• Process vendor and supplier bills
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Manage travel expenses
• Support tax and VAT compliance and filings
• Lead the completion and filing of the annual French Statutory Audit
• Support annual preparation and filing of CIR - R&D tax credit
• Create and/or update internal processes documentation

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant accounting and tax experience
• Strong USA GAAP and French Statutory accounting
• GAAP - 606 Revenue Recognition knowledge
• Fluency in French and English
• Experience with Netsuite or other large ERP system
• Strong Excel skills
