Job Description

Labelbox is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to help shape the future of AI. In this role, the individual will operate as a technical cofounder, utilizing engineering, product, and sales skills to deliver data on high-stakes projects for leading AI labs. The engineer will work directly with human data teams or AI researchers within customer organizations, creating optimal datasets for model evaluations, supervised fine-tuning, and ground truth data for advanced reinforcement learning techniques.

The Forward Deployed Engineer role involves:

  • Working with AI leaders to define and refine data strategies.
  • Designing and operating scalable, high-quality human data pipelines.
  • Developing and optimizing code using Python for data processing and quality analysis.
  • Defining engineering requirements to improve human data tools and workflows.

Labelbox requires:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or AI-related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python and data analysis.
