Principal Software Engineer

Anaplan is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the evolution of scalable, high-performance systems. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership to define and execute the company’s technical vision. • Leading the long-term technical direction of the engineering team.
• Designing and implementing cloud-native architectures.
• Driving innovation by researching and integrating cutting-edge technologies.
• Leading the design and optimization of systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices, particularly in Python, Java, or similar backend technologies.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong background in processing large datasets and building data pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of security practices in cloud environments.
• Extensive experience with designing RESTful APIs and building microservices architectures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams.
