Job Description
Catapult is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their global finance function in Melbourne. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting across all regions and subsidiaries. The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the Director, Global Finance, and will be a key contributor in a collaborative global team.
Responsibilities: - Preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Performing month-end and year-end closing activities
- Managing monthly and biannual accounting and reporting requirements for research and development (R&D)
- Identifying opportunities and implement ways to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Assisting with global transfer pricing activities
- Assisting the Director, Global Finance with any ad hoc tasks
Requirements: - CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification
- Over 4 years post qualification experience
- Experience in a similar role with an ASX listed company
- Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in a team environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning desirable but not essential
