Senior Android Developer, Experimentation

Job Description

Life360 is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join their International Growth team. This role is focused on shaping and delivering feature experiments to drive revenue growth in international markets. The Senior Android Developer will be involved in the entire experiment lifecycle, from prototype grooming to development and the hardening phase. They will also monitor experiment rollouts to ensure a high-quality user experience.Life360 is a remote-first company, and this position can be performed remotely within Canada.What this role involves:

• Working with a cross-functional team, collaborating with design, back-end engineering, marketing, data science, and product teams.
• Designing and maintaining robust Android frameworks using tools such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, or other relevant frameworks.
• Owning and reframing existing feature components.
• Creating foundational automation workflows to improve product quality and reliability.
• Roadmapping innovative features to bring families closer together through contextual awareness, improved geolocation, and better communication.

What Life360 is looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Strong debugging skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Architecture mindset with a strong understanding of software architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of the Android ecosystem.
• Expert knowledge of Kotlin and familiarity with Android frameworks and APIs.
• Proficiency with reactive programming.
• Adaptability and a drive to learn new concepts.
• A passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in building and rolling out experiments.
