Project Specialist – Engineering Visibility & Events

Job Description

Cisco is seeking a Project Specialist for Engineering Visibility & Events to join their Engineering Experience team. This role supports initiatives that strengthen the visibility and connection of Cisco's global engineering organization through events, content, and storytelling. The Project Specialist will collaborate with engineers and marketing teams to amplify their work.

• Contribute to the planning and promotion of engineering-wide events.
• Create and refine visual materials for storytelling and presentations.
• Engage with blog posts, video, and technical content.
• Curate and maintain content across platforms like Confluence and SharePoint.
• Own specific deliverables within strategic initiatives.
• Showcase engineering achievements across internal and external channels, including social media.
• Collaborate with engineers and partner teams on visibility campaigns.
• Track progress using tools and frameworks such as OKRs.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, content, public relations, and/or operations.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn and grow.
• Comfortable creating presentations and visual content using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and Confluence.
• Interested in writing or reviewing content for platforms like LinkedIn.
• Experience supporting or helping promote events.
• Clear and professional communicator.
• Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage priorities.
• Collaborative and open to working with engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Based in Austin and available to be in the office at least 3 days/week.
