Job Description
ThousandEyes, a part of Cisco, is seeking an Implementation Engineer to deliver enablement, implementation, and optimization services for their enterprise customers' ThousandEyes deployments. This role requires a ThousandEyes product expert with monitoring system expertise and a strong foundation in core network architecture. The Implementation Engineer will engage with customers to ensure they ramp up to productivity with the new software.

Responsibilities:
  • Guide customers on deploying and implementing the ThousandEyes product.
  • Implement ThousandEyes in customer environments efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Engage with customers to deliver product implementation and integration services.
  • Project manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Deliver training and industry best practice discussions.
  • Build value-based relationships with customers.
  • Leverage enterprise data analytics to track and report on customer engagement.
  • Contribute to best practice creation and maintenance.
  • Track and report on utilization and work performed.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Identify potential product/services upsell or cross-sell opportunities.

Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of technical experience, ideally in professional services (implementation engineer role).
  • 2 years working in a customer-facing role.
  • Fluent German and English written and spoken communication skills (C1 Level).
  • Firm grasp of network and application protocols (Cisco/Juniper certification strongly preferred - CCNA/JNCP, etc.).
  • Experience maintaining or implementing LAN/WAN environments.
  • Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, HTTP, DNS & Linux.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technical field, or equivalent working experience.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (deployment, maintenance, debugging) including REST APIs.
  • Experience with at least 1 programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience with Cloud/SaaS software products is highly desirable.
  • Project management and consulting experience.
