Job Description
Decathlon Digital is seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to join their Platform Observability team in Lille or Paris. The Observability team plays a crucial role in structuring and guiding observability across Decathlon's innovative teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of observability tools and the OpenTelemetry initiative, working closely with Kubernetes cluster managers.Decathlon Digital is a team of over 5,000 experts in software engineering, product management, data, cloud, and cybersecurity, distributed across Paris, Lille, and Amsterdam. Together, they are creating the largest digital sports platform, leveraging tech innovation from design to value chain optimization, connected experiences, and product second life.Role involves:
  • Suggesting improvements to the existing observability stack.
  • Collaborating with domain tech leads and specialized SIGs.
  • Contributing to the development of observability tools.
  • Supporting Decathlon’s OpenTelemetry initiative.
  • Guiding users in adopting best practices and tools.
Requirements:
  • Experience in leading and contributing to observability initiatives.
  • Ability to guide users in adopting best practices and tools.
  • Project leadership skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for observability, innovation, and teamwork.
