Job Description
Figure is seeking a Servicing Compliance Manager to contribute to the development and expansion of its compliance program. This role involves overseeing the compliance of servicing aspects for products like home equity lines of credit, DSCR loans, piggyback loans, and crypto-backed loans. The Servicing Compliance Manager will report to the Senior Director of Compliance and collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to Federal and State regulations. What this role involves:
- Providing day-to-day compliance support to product and operational groups.
- Designing and enhancing controls and building remediation plans.
- Researching, communicating, and testing compliance requirements.
- Building and managing change management programs.
- Overseeing and conducting ongoing monitoring and testing.
- Maintaining and drafting policies and procedures.
- Reviewing third-party vendor engagements for compliance.
- Conducting compliance risk assessments.
- Providing support for regulatory examinations and audits.
- Working cross-functionally to understand team processes.
- Conducting annual compliance review audits on third-party servicing vendors.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance at a bank, lending company, or government agency.
- Demonstrated experience with residential mortgages and consumer loans.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, and professional certifications are a plus.
- Strong project-management skills.
- Proven ability to draft procedures and evaluate internal controls.
- Strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
- Ability to address challenging issues objectively.
- Ability to build technical processes and provide compliance-related requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Experience conducting compliance monitoring and testing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
