Job Description
Upgrade is seeking a Marketing Counsel to advise on marketing and advertising of financial products. The ideal candidate has experience in consumer finance and excels at building relationships. This role offers the opportunity to work on the full suite of products and services across the business. Candidates who can work in a hybrid capacity from our San Francisco office are preferred, but remote candidates will be considered.
What this role involves:
- Evaluating legal risks and providing legal advice on marketing materials.
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and industry best practices.
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on marketing content.
- Developing and implementing streamlined systems and policies for legal review.
- Prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.

- J.D. and Bar membership in good standing
- 5+ years advising financial institutions/fintech companies
