Associate General Counsel

Alchemy is seeking an Associate General Counsel to help the company scale and support the growth of Web3. This role involves working closely with the General Counsel to build the legal strategy and grow the legal team. The individual will advise on various aspects of the business, partnering with cross-functional internal teams and outside counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with colleagues in sales, product, engineering, finance/accounting, operations, corporate development, equity, and other areas
• Drafting and negotiating agreements with strategic customers, blockchain protocols, partners, and software providers
• Developing and updating agreements, website terms, and policies
• Counseling product and engineering teams on new product launches
• Coordinating with the marketing team to review promotional materials
• Supporting corporate development efforts and overseeing strategic acquisitions
• Staying current with global regulatory frameworks
• Overseeing corporate structuring
• Advising on global data protection laws
• Advising the People team on employee policies
• Building the patent and trademark portfolio
• Advising the Alchemy Ventures team on investment documents

Requirements:

• 8+ years of legal experience
• Experience in BigLaw and in-house at a high-growth tech company
• Track record of cross-functional partnership across teams
• Passion for crypto, blockchain technologies, DeFi, DAOs, and/or NFTs
• Collaborative team player
• Self-starter with a “pick-up-a-broom” mentality
• JD from an accredited law school
• Member of a U.S. state bar in good standing, preferably in California or New York
