Chainguard is seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Business Development Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting appointments for the sales team to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cybersecurity and a proven track record of success in sales or lead generation.
What this role involves:
- Prospecting and identifying potential clients in the security sales market.
- Conducting thorough research on prospects to identify their specific security needs.
- Generating a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads.
- Qualifying leads by understanding their business requirements.
- Scheduling meetings and product demos for the sales team.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop targeted sales strategies.
- Maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.
- Staying current on industry trends and emerging security technologies.
- Attending sales training sessions and participating in team meetings.
- Providing feedback to marketing and product teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, within the cloud native, cybersecurity or devops industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and other sales enablement tools.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, products, and services is a strong plus.
- Ideally located in the PacNW or Mountain Time Zone
