Job Description
Chainguard is seeking a Manager of Sales Development to lead and mentor a team of BDRs. This role involves hiring and onboarding new BDRs, developing and implementing strategies to optimize team performance, and ensuring alignment with company sales goals. The Manager will provide coaching, drive progress toward pipeline targets, and foster a collaborative environment. They will also work with the Director of Sales Development and Sales leaders to refine lead generation tactics and improve conversion rates.
Role Involves:
- Building out the BDR function.
- Developing team skills for prospecting and qualification.
- Providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Working with Demand Generation and Sales teams.
- Developing effective messaging for target accounts.
- Ensuring alignment on account coverage and opportunity quality.
- Accurately forecasting attainment.
- Monitoring team performance metrics and KPIs.
Requirements:
- 2+ years leading a team of BDRs (Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, OSS preferred).
- Experience with funnel management across multiple channels.
- Enablement experience in onboarding and developing a team.
- Experience with CRM platforms and lead generation software.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
- Proven ability to recruit, hire, and train new people.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience prospecting or selling into Enterprise accounts.
- Understanding of B2B software and the developer product space (preferred).
- Experience growing within a small start-up (preferred).
