Implementation Engineer

Job Description

Adyen is seeking an Implementation Engineer to manage new implementations and enhancements for existing customers. The Implementation Engineer will also own pre-sales calls for the company's growing portfolio of merchants. This role involves working with Adyen's largest merchants globally to solution, consult, troubleshoot, implement, and launch scalable technical integrations.

The Implementation Engineer will be the primary point of contact for merchant's technical teams, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and launch phases of their integrations with Adyen's platform. They will work on diverse projects encompassing Point of Sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and card issuing programs.

What this role involves:

• Creating scalable and robust solutions for merchant integrations.
• Serving as a consultative partner in specific verticals such as e-commerce and point of sale.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Overseeing high-quality project delivery, guaranteeing the technical integrity of merchant integrations.
• Providing consultation on optimizing payment solutions.

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience integrating and/or providing technical consultation when integrating with Web APIs
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Empathetic to customer and end-user needs.
• Ability to identify and clearly communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions.
• Growth mindset with a bias toward action.
