Adyen is seeking an experienced Payments Compliance Officer to join their team in Tokyo. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to partner with global teams, providing guidance for sustainable growth.This role involves:
Proactively identifying compliance obligations in Japan.
Translating obligations into policies and procedures.
Ensuring proper documentation and training.
Liaising with local schemes and payment methods compliance teams.
Participating in product risk assessments.
Representing the team on work streams and products.
Supporting and maintaining oversight of first-line teams.
Handling escalations from stakeholders.
Advising internal stakeholders and liaising with external stakeholders and auditors.
Supporting the Global Scheme Compliance team with global projects.
Requirements include:
3-5 years’ experience in Payments/Credit Card industry and/or second line compliance functions.
Proficient command of Japanese and English.
Knowledge of the finance and/or payment industry.
Deep knowledge of the local Japanese market.
Analytical thinking and drafting skills.
Solid interpersonal skills.
Comfort and confidence addressing senior management.
Good sense of business and technical acumen.
Strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
Willingness to travel to Amsterdam and Singapore.
